Hey, I’m Chelsea. I’m a comedy writer, producer, and travel host born and bullied in Los Angeles, CA. My life as a travel writer has been nothing short of insane. In one year alone, I partied backstage with Cardi B in the Dominican Republic, almost died free climbing up the rocks of Petra, recovered from malaria, slept in a treehouse in the middle of a Balinese rice field, and lived in a two bedroom apartment with both of my exes. What? It’s called being an artist. Google it.
I’ll write anything - travel, scripts, beauty, fashion, health, lifestyle… I’ll even punch up your mom’s eulogy, I’m not above it.
I freelance for numerous publications, including Brides, InStyle, Uproxx, Thrillist, and Popular Science, among others. My travel and comedy podcast, Globe Thotting with Chelsea Frank, was named “Top Travel Podcast of 2022” by Uproxx.
As for film and TV: I just completed writing the film adaptation of the bestselling romance novel Lease on Love. The film is set to be directed by legendary comedy director Marty Callner. Other credits include Host and Producer of REVIEWISH on JLTV, and a starring role in the multi award-winning short film, PALM SWINGS, executive produced by Brandon Dermer (HULU's I'm Totally Fine), which has since garnered over 2.5 million views on YouTube. Dermer and I worked together again on A LUXURY LOSS, a romantic comedy short film starring viral comedian Morgan Jay. I wrote and produced the film, which is currently in post-production.
I just wrapped on a travel show pilot with comedian Taylor Tomlinson, where I serve as Creator, Executive Producer, and Host.
